Graduate Assistantships are NOT available.Posting Number 20161287STD Job Description Job Details for Engagement Ambassadors (hiring up to 25 individuals)oEngagement Ambassadors participate through digital and traditional phone outreach to alumni, parents and friends of Ohio University leveraging an engagement platform that allows for personalized outreach to every constituent that inspires life-long engagement.oAmbassadors successfully text, video and phone prospective donors on behalf of Ohio University to engage constituents and advance its mission.oFor each phone call, Ambassadors work to raise monetary support, fostering a positive and long-lasting relationship with alumni, parents and friends as well as update demographic information.oAmbassadors follow scripting provided by their Engagement Center Manager while sharing their own positive personal experience at Ohio University and applying a pre-determined dollar amount ladder and strategy for each phone call including supporting reasons to give.CompensationoStarting pay rate is $11.00/ hour.oIncentives awarded periodically.Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for employment, applicant must be an Ohio University student.Preferred QualificationsoMust be a well-organized self-starter who can manage time effectively and possesses excellent spoken and written communication skills.oAbility to work independently and within a team environment.oSkilled to follow scripting and ask amount requirements when making outbound calls, text or videos.oBe able to use a computer for accurate data entry.oAbility to maintain confidentially of information.Department University Advancement Pay Rate $11 per hourPosting Open Date 05/01/2023 Posting End Date 05/15/2024 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for University Advancement Work Schedule Students will work approximately 3 shifts per week totaling 10 hours. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
