Career Connections is looking for an Administrative Assistant for a busy real estate organization in Athens, Ohio. This person will serve as the first point of contact for the company, and duties will include answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments, preparing and organizing documents and files, creating and submitting ad information, maintaining office inventory, and other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a flexible start date in the near future. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5p.m., with an hour-long break for lunch from 11a.m. to 12p.m. The pay rate is commensurate with experience, but is expected to be in the range of $10-$12 an hour.
To qualify for this position, candidates must have a professional attitude and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, and be able to work well independently and as part of a team. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
