Accounting Manager

Career Connections is looking for an Accounting Manager for a growing retailer of automotive equipment in Athens, Ohio. They are looking for a person with a strong work ethic, enjoyable personality, and good energy who will add value to their organization. Will be making daily deposits, accounts payable, inputting new and used inventory items into accounting system, inputting payroll to third-party preparer, running reports, reviewing sale pending paperwork for accuracy, and other general related duties as needed.
This is a temporary-to-direct, part-time job opportunity hiring immediately. The schedule is flexible but ideally will work Monday through Friday, in either the mornings or afternoons, approximately 20 hours each week. This client would hire directly for the right individual. The pay is commensurate with experience but very competitive.
To qualify for this position, candidates must have previous accounting experience and be knowledgeable in intermediate to advanced accounting functions. Previous experience working in the automotive field is strongly desired. Must be computer literate and easily trained on new accounting programs.
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, understand the importance of confidentiality, and enjoy problem solving and coming up with process improvement ideas. Must be highly organized and accurate in their work.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
