Accounts Receivable Specialist

Career Connections is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a health care facility in Athens, Ohio. Will be completing analysis on assigned accounts and/or fund sources, completing assigned billing by due date requirements, assisting with cash application, preparing reports, communicating billing information to consumers, assisting with journal entries and reconciliations, and general accounting duties as needed.
This is a temporary-to-direct, full-time job opportunity starting ASAP. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The starting pay rate is $10/hour and, if hired permanently, this company offers a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement.
To qualify for this position, candidates must be familiar with accounts receivable, journal entry and GAAP. Must have proficiency in both MS Word and Excel. Must have excellent communication skills and a helpful and friendly attitude. Must be willing and able to complete and pass a drug screen and skills assessment prior to the first day on the job. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
