Telecommunications Technicians

Career Connections is looking for Telecommunications Technicians for a busy administrative unit in Athens, Ohio. The telecommunications techs follow established procedures, resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level technical staff. Main duties will be to assist in the termination and installation of communication cabling to support voice, data, and video communication system, with related duties as assigned.
This is a full-time position hiring by Monday, May 4, 2015 and lasting till the end of August. The position will give 40 hours a week during typical business hours, but some overtime might occur. The pay rate is $13/hour, with overtime paid at $19.50/hour.
To qualify, this position requires working knowledge of installation and maintenance of telecommunications and/or electronic equipment. Techs can expect to work in hot, humid, and close confined quarters during parts of their installation work. Candidates must be able and willing to climb ladders and install cabling in tight spaces to be considered.
Qualified candidates will have at minimum 6 months training or 6 months experience in operation of hand and power tools. Candidates with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds will be given preference.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
